Calling all human rights activists! Join the Refugee Action Collective on 13 July to cover the Melbourne CBD in posters, leaflets and stencils to promote our “5 Years Too Many Rally for Refugees”. This important rally is to demand that the Australian government immediately close down the abusive immigration detention centres on Manus and Nauru, and bring all of the refugees and asylum seekers held there to Australia. To help build momentum for the rally, we need people to leaflet at Central Station, poster every bollard, cover the footpath in chalk stencils, ask stores to put up our material, and we need to make hundreds of placards. There will be plenty of materials, but you can bring your own too if you like. Bring a friend, or meet new people to work with at our stall. Newcomers very welcome.
