& CHRIS BREEN Refugee Action Collective
Robert Manne argued in the Age that ‘supporters of the asylum seekers face a difficult choice. Either they must acknowledge that their heartfelt advocacy will not be able to change the current situation. Or they must accept a morally and legally imperfect alternative, which has at least some possibility of success’. The Refugee Action Collective argues that it is the growing refugee movement, rather than unnecessary compromises with the Coalition’s agenda, that can force change.
